Complex Number

A complex number is a number $x\in \mathbb{C}$, of the form
$x=a+jb,$
where $a\in \mathbb{R}$, and $jb\in \mathbb{C}$. The assumption in complex numbers is that there is an imaginary unit $j$, such that $j^2=-1$.
