Complex Exponential

A complex number in rectangular form $x=a+jb$ may be represented as a complex exponential, such that
$x=A{e}^{j\theta },$
where $A=|x|=\sqrt{a^2+b^2}$, and $\theta =\text{atan2}(b,a)$.
